MHS Cross Country finished out the season in Portland, Ore., with the Nike Team National Cross Country Race. The team slogged through up to four inches of water on the track in 40-degree weather with intermittent rain and snow. Coach Mike McGarry said the team competed for the experience and to inspire the team and coaches for next year. The team placed 10th out of 17 teams, competing against the likes of an all-star team that flew in from Kenya.
